Rainy Days

Recently, rains are coming all too often and it was especially the case about 4plus to 5pm everyday. Being forgetful as usual, after so many days of rain, it still didn't ring a bell on me that I should bring along a umbrella to work. It was raining harder than usual today. When I opened the container door, I gasped with worries. The site was flooded to about a 15cm ruler depth and my colleague was busy changing into the classic yellow-Phua-Chu-Kang boots. He offered me an extra pair but I refused. Haa...! Li Jun's Quote: "Being a lady, thou shall never wear Phua-Chu-Kang's boots in any circumstances." So I folded up my jeans and ran along to the opposite container's toilet with a broken yellow umbrella.

When I finally boarded the bus and reached Woodlands Mrt, I was so hungry that I decided that finding food shall be the top most piority then and headed to the nearby Pasah Malam. It was only when I was standing near the control station, munching contently with my food, my situation lit up on my head. My goodness, my jeans were still rolled up and my feet felt squeamish with rain and brown sand. I'm munching food like nobody's business. At that moment, there are few bunch of Republic polytechnic kids passing by. As I looked up at them, I silently wondered how pathetic-looking I must have looked... Haha..
